How customer information is used across accounts, checkout and store services.

Privacy at a glanceMilan Station uses customer information to operate accounts, process orders, prevent fraud, communicate about purchases and sell/consignment requests, and maintain business records. We do not sell customer payment-card numbers, and Square handles card entry on its hosted checkout.

1. Information we collect

  • contact information such as name, email, phone number, and shipping/pickup information;
  • account identifiers and profile information used for Clerk authentication;
  • order, payment status, product, refund, shipment, and customer-service records;
  • information and photographs submitted when you ask to sell or consign an item;
  • device, browser, security, and basic website operation data created when you use the site.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide the site, authenticate users, manage inventory, process and fulfill orders, communicate with customers, detect fraud and abuse, comply with tax/recordkeeping/legal obligations, improve service reliability, and protect Milan Station and our customers.

3. Service providers

We use service providers that process information on our behalf or as independent processors for specific functions, including Clerk for authentication, Supabase for application data, Square for payment and checkout, ImageKit for product images, and Netlify for website hosting and delivery. Their handling of information is also subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

4. Cookies and local storage

The site may use essential cookies or browser storage to keep you signed in, remember cart/session information, maintain security, and support site functionality. Milan Station should not describe a tracking control as disabling analytics or advertising unless that control actually does so. If we later add non-essential advertising or analytics technologies, this policy and any required privacy controls will be updated.

5. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including legal, tax, fraud-prevention, transaction, and secondhand-dealer recordkeeping obligations where applicable. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

6. Your choices

You may contact us to ask about or request correction of account/contact information. You can sign out of your Clerk account at any time. Certain transaction records may need to be retained even after an account-related request because of legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or business recordkeeping requirements.

7. Children

This site is intended for adults purchasing, selling, or consigning luxury goods and is not directed to children under 13.

8. Updates and contact
